Pot Roast

I don’t have an exact recipe per say because I always make it up, but here it goes!


One roast

One onion–sliced and separated, NOT diced or cubed

4 or 5 potatoes—cut into 4 or 6 depending on the size

one pkg onion soup mix

beef broth–enough to cover roast

One bag frozen veggies, sometimes I use roast veggies, other times I use a medley of broccoli, cauliflower and carrots

Garlic, pepper, salt, and what ever other seasoning sounds good at the time!



Place onions in the bottom of the crock pot, place roast on top of onions.  Cover with beef broth and add onion soup mix, mix well. Add remaining ingredients minus the frozen veggies.  Cook on low for 6-8 hours, or high 4-6hours. I add the frozen veggies about an hour before i want to eat, some times a little longer

Sorry this recipe isn’t more concise, its one of the only meals i make that I don’t follow a specific recipe for!
